China's Corn Gain is Soybeans Loss

China corn production is expected to make a new record in 2012,  while soybean production remains woefully short of domestic needs.  Sharp losses in soybean plantings at the expense of corn has contributed greatly to the soybean shortfall.

The CNGOIC reported yesterday that China corn production would be 201 million metric tons, a 4.3% increase from last season, setting a new record.    The success story in corn is due primarily to sharp increases in the yield, though the corn area also has also expanded... subscribers continue to full story...
