Heavy Precipitation Would Ease Upper Midwest Drought

The weather is turning more favorable for precipitation in drought affected northern corn growing areas.  Moisture is badly needed in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota, states that make up approximately 32% of the United States corn production.  Historic drought has  developed over the past 6 months threatening 2012 corn production.
