Midwest Corn in Desperate Need of Rain

Corn is coming under intense heat and moisture stress confirmed by a sharp drop in the United States corn rating June 24 to 56% good-excellent, 30% fair and 14% poor, a season low.

The critical pollination stage is beginning 3 weeks ahead of schedule,  as US corn silking  reached 10%  on June 24.    The cumulative growing degree days at  1,011 units are 27% above average in the growing season to date.   This is becoming one of the  hottest growing seasons on record... subscribers continue to full story...
