While precipitation has improved this month in Alberta and Manitoba, large swaths of Saskatchewan remained dry. Soil temperatures have warmed up rapidly from a persistent ridge of high pressure that has dominated North America. An early planting campaign is anticipated, beneficial in the northern latitudes, but field moisture needs to increase for a favorable crop outlook.
