Russia 2012-13 wheat potential has been damaged by severe drought in the south where more than 60% of winter wheat is grown.
Southern Russia winter wheat has been plagued by drought since the summer receiving very scanty rainfall August-October. This has damaged the crop in Krasnodar, Stavropol, Rostov and Volgograd, the 4 main districts accounting for 62% of Russia winter wheat.
