Sharp weakening of the La Nina effect is bringing heavy precipitation to the United States heartland, relieving drought in winter wheat and corn states.
Heavy snowfall was developing in top wheat states in the Great Plains this morning. Oklahoma is the driest of the main wheat states with a 3.6 inch moisture deficit back to early October.
