Shallow Rooted Crops Susceptible To Drought Stress

Topsoil moisture has deteriorated in a big segment of the Midwest with low rainfall the past 3 weeks.  Intense drying has affected corn and soybeans in eastern Iowa, northern Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.  The hot, dry weather is expected to prevail for at least another week.   This may be trouble for late planted, shallow-rooted soybeans and corn... subscribers continue to full story...
